PREAMBLE

CQ… CQ… CQ…

This is (callsign), (name), with the Atlanta Radio Club’s Sunday night net. This net meets every Sunday night at 8PM, to help keep Amateurs up to date on events and news in the metro area. We operate here on 146.820, on 224.340, and on the 444.825 repeater, all of which are currently linked for the net, and all require a PL tone of 146.2 Hz. IRLP is also available on our system, and may link in at any time.

You do not have to be a member of the Atlanta Radio Club to participate in this net; All Amateurs are welcome. This is not an emergency net, however, if there is any emergency traffic during the net, please inform net control by saying “BREAK BREAK” and your call sign, and the net will handle the emergency traffic with top priority.

When checking in, net control asks that you key up, and say “THIS IS,” then unkey and listen for others. If you don’t here anyone else, please give your callsign once in plain English, then again phonetically, followed by your name and location. Please be sure to inform net control if you have any swap shop items or announcements.

I would like to remind everyone that this is a directed net, and all traffic must go through net control.  If you wish to contact another station on the net, please key down say “CONTACT,” and net control will acknowledge you.

That being said, those stations wishing to check in to the Atlanta Radio Club’s Sunday Night Net, please call (callsign) at this time.     

CHECK-INS

**Record check-ins to your log, and pause every few stations to acknowledge them. After reading each set, ask for corrections. When check-ins slow down, start the comment portion of the net.**

COMMENTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS

Once again, this is (callsign), (name), with the Atlanta Radio Club’s Sunday Night Net. The question of the night for this week is (question, something radio related.) At this time I will turn the net over to those stations with announcements. If you have an announcement, but didn’t mention so when checking in, please come now. **If there are no announcements, go and ask each station the question of the night, otherwise, give the floor to the stations with announcements first.**

 
We have reached the end of the list, meaning time for more check-ins. Any stations wishing to check-in to the Atlanta Radio Club’s Sunday Night Net, please call (callsign) now. **Record check-ins, and then ask them the question of the night. If none, move on.**

SWAP SHOP (Skip if there are no items.)

**If there are any stations with swap shop items, acknowledge them, and follow script below. Otherwise, move on to conclusion.**

This is your Net Control, (callsign) with the Atlanta Radio Club’s Sunday Night Net. I will now turn the net over to (station with a swap shop item). Please describe your item, and give your phone number or email address, but don’t give a price.

CONCLUSION

At this time I will ask for any final check-ins for the net. Anyone wishing to check In, please call (callsign) now. **Acknowledge check-ins, give them time to comment on the question of the night. If none, read script below.**
