About The Club

The Atlanta Radio Club, which turned 100 years old in March, 2011, is one of the oldest and largest amateur radio clubs in the United States. With over 140 members, the club activities include meetings, operating events, training sessions, membership outings and community service activities in Metro-Atlanta.

The Atlanta Radio Club is best known for its sponsorship of the annual Atlanta HamFest, a yearly event which hosts many vendors, exhibitors, and flea marketers of amateur radio equipment and other electronic equipment, including computers.  In addition, though the club membership, we own or operate 11 repeaters around the metro area.

In an average month, the club will hold a regular membership meeting, a tech/training session or operating outing, publish the Atlanta Ham newsletter, have 8 lunch outings and host over 20 nets via club repeaters.

Membership

Membership is $22 a year and supports the ongoing club activities. We welcome new amateurs to the hobby, join within 90 days of your initial license and get the current year free.  To renew or join, use the Membership link at the left.  We are glad to offer PayPal for membership transactions.
