Membership Categories

Student Member

Any person who is a full time student in elementary, middle, or high school. If a holder of a valid radio amateur license, will be accorded all privileges, including voting. Annual dues $8.00

Associate Member

Any person who is unlicensed and is not a Student Member nor Family Member. May participate in Club activities but may not vote. Annual dues $11.00

Family Member

Any member of a Voting Member's immediate family (spouse or child) living in the same household. If licensed, may use the same repeater ID as the voting member. Annual dues $2.00

Supporting Member

Any licensed radio amateur living more than 60 miles from the Club's designated meeting place. Annual dues $15.00

Voting Member

Any licensed radio amateur who is current with all dues/assesments. Annual dues $22.00

Premier

There are three types of premier membership. They are Life member, benefactor member and corporate member. Persons or businesses interested in these categories should contact a club officer. The moneys paid for these memberships will be placed in trust and not used for club operations.

Unpaid Categories

The club also awards membership in three non-paid categories: gift member, honorary member, and honorary life member in accordance with requirements stated in the by-laws.

Note: All prospective members must make application and be voted in by the membership at a regular meeting. Applicants appearing in person at the meeting may be accepted at the same meeting.

Only licensed radio amateurs are eligible to vote on matters brought before the Club. Voting membership includes an ID card, repeater ID (with a signed Autopatch Agreement), repeater instructions, by-laws, list of members, and a one year subscription to the Atlanta HAM (the Club's monthly publication).

The membership year is from 9/1 of the current year through 8/31 of the following year. A voting member joining in March, April, May or June may be accepted for one-half the stated annual dues. A voting member joining in July and August shall pay full dues and be credited for the following year.
