Up and coming Meeting!

On Thursday June 5th Jorge de la Torre: Emergency communications after Katrina
(45 minutes) and 2) open discussion of upcoming hamfest

On Thursday, July 3rd Mack McCormick, WB4MAK, will demonstrate the power of the Flex Radio SDR-5000A http://www.flex-radio.com/ with Ham Radio Deluxe. Using this combination he is able to fully automate his station operation on all modes and all bands 160M – 6M including antenna switching and linear switching. A software defined radio uses your computer to handle most of the signal processing. The radio, which has no knobs, processes the RF and the analog to digital and digital to analog interface.

Mack, a licensed ham for 39 years, is a member of the ARC, NFARL, SEDX, QCWA, NoGA QRP and 10-10 clubs. He is active on all bands, in most modes, from 160M to 23 cm. Mack’s personal background includes serving in the U.S. Army for 23 years and he is presently employed by a Fortune 100 company running their North American services business.

ARRL membership forms will be available for anyone who wants to join
or renew. If you join at the meeting, you'll get a FREE ARRL Repeater
Directory. What a deal!

Every Friday: Please join the Atlanta Radio Club for lunch Fridays around at the line@285, 5525 Interstate North Pkwy Nw, Atlanta, GA 30328. Hope to see you there!
